The Ice Hockey World Championship has made the Moomin character Mörkö (the Groke) famous. This is because Mörkö is the nickname given to Marko Anttila, the Finnish team captain, who won the ice hockey world championship, making it the third world title for the Lions (or Leijonat), following previous championship wins in 1995 and 2011.
